After Effects Error: Rendering plug-in instance verification failed (26::400)

New Here ,

Hi,

I have been using Adobe After Effects Version 23.6.0 (Build 2), I however have encountered an issue where the videos are not able to be rendered due to the issues as stated in the title. I have checked from other forums and changed the 3D rederer back to 3D Classic, nothing works and I still have problem rendering the videos.

Any workaround is highly appreciated.

Big thanks,

Sal Ali Hashim

It seems like you're encountering an error message in Adobe After Effects related to rendering. The error message "Rendering plug-in instance verification failed (26::400)" can be frustrating, but there are a few steps you can take to try and resolve this issue:

  1. Update After Effects: Make sure you're using the latest version of Adobe After Effects. Sometimes, these errors can be caused by bugs that have been fixed in newer updates. Check Adobe Creative Cloud for any available updates.

  2. Check Project Files: Sometimes corrupt project files or assets can cause rendering issues. Create a new project and try importing your assets into it to see if the problem persists.

  3. Check Effects and Plugins: Some effects or plugins might be causing conflicts. Try disabling or removing any third-party effects or plugins you might have added to your project to see if that resolves the issue.

  4. Clear Cache: Clear the cache in After Effects. Go to "Edit" > "Purge" > "All Memory & Disk Cache."

  5. Adjust Render Settings: Try adjusting your render settings. Sometimes changing the format, codec, or other render settings can help bypass the error.

  6. Reset Preferences: Resetting After Effects preferences might help. Hold down the "Ctrl" (Cmd on Mac) and "Alt" keys while clicking on the After Effects application icon to launch it. You'll be prompted to reset your preferences.

  7. Hardware Acceleration: Sometimes issues can arise due to GPU acceleration. Try turning off GPU acceleration in the "Preferences" > "Previews" menu.

Before trying any of these steps, make sure to back up your project files. Hopefully, one of these solutions will help you resolve the rendering error and get back to creating your videos without any issues.
