After effects keyboard shortcuts not executing the right command

Hi! I'm here to ask if anyone has gone through this issue other than me, this issue just arose today,  prior to that i've never had this problem.  Some of the shortcuts I regulalrly use whilst editing my videos on aftereffects are not working in the right way,  for example; the keyboard shortcut to trim a layer to the timestamp marker is Alt+[ for windows, but instead of that happening, it's instead just doing the [ command only and moving my clip forward to meet the timestamp. Another one is that when I use the shortcut to apply an adjustment layer which is Ctrl+Shift+Y, it instead is doing the command Ctrl+Y and opening up a solid layer. I have tried going into the keyboard shortcuts to see if maybe there is an issue there and I have to manually change the command but that doesn't seem to be the issue. So if anyone has any tips please do let me know! Thank You.

Adjustment layer is ctrl+alt+y. Any other shortcuts utilizing alt key work?

Sorry I had meant Ctrl+Alt+Y for adjustment instead of writing shift. But it still doesn't work, also the shortcut to trim a layer which is Alt+[ doesn't work either instead it's doing the [ command only which just moves the layer to your timeline stamp.

Could it be a keyboard layout or languange preference issue? I'd check if the alt key work in other applications first.

I've tried it out, it's working perfectly fine in another apps, it's just acting up in aftereffects, only on some shortcuts, it's working fine on most.

Are you still having the issue? Let us know.

I am moving this thread from Bugs to Discussions for now.

Thanks,
