After Effects preview not working

Hi there, I've just started a new AE project on a new work laptop and my preview does not seem to be working. I've tried purging all cache, resetting to default system setting, checked that I'm using the latest drivers, fit comp to screen and still nothing.

In the first few seconds of launching the program, everything seems to be working (previewing is showing when I payback sequence or I drag images to align on screen) but it just stops working after a little while. Below is a screenshot where I'm using the pen tool to draw and nothing is updating on the preview screen after that. I can click on things, undo, continue to work but can't see any of hte changes actually happening and hitting spacebar only moves it by one frame at a time with no changes to what I can see on screen.

I am using Adobe After Effects 2022

Same old standard answer: Check your hardware acceleration settings and update your system's graphics driver.

Aunque no nos dices exactamente que tipo de tarjeta de video usas, el ram que tienes me parec muy poco y por ahi tambien podria estar el error, tampoco sabemos que tipo de composiciones estan trabajando (4k, HD, SD?)
