Animate text from straight to curved

I want to animate a line of text that will morph from a straight line to curved upward like a smile. How do I go about this?

Hi. Using the pen tool create a path on the text layer. Keyframe the path shape from straight to curved. Set the Text's Path Options' Path to Mask 1.

You can create the text. Change the text path to mask. Make a mask on the text layer and animate the mask path.
