Animated Logo Help

Hi there,

I'm doing some practice logo animation stuff and found this. Wondering how I could recreate a similar effect on a logo in after effects because I'm not even sure where to start!

Try the Turbulent Displace effects it can help you get somthing like this also Roughen Edges can help in some part.

Yes turbulent displace, warp and roughen edges will help

You can also use the write on feature to get some of the animation work in

Turbulent displace with the strength animated from say 100 to zero, followed by a blur also animated from say 50 pix to zero, followed by threshold. The turbulent displace will distort the text, the blur will soften the edges and erode them, and the threshold will turn the edges back to hard lines. Play with the amounts of each effect until it looks right.
