I do some extensive video editing and plan to replace my Core i7/32GB of RAM with a new desktop with 128 GB RAM. My number one question is the choice between Core i9 and Ryzen. I'm trying to build something around $2K so I think my best choices would be Intel i9 12900K or AMD Ryzen 9 5900X. I know Intel is pretty good with Adobe but I wonde if anyone has experience with Ryzen. Any problems, crashes, freezing?
Thank you!

As far as I know, there is no problem with Ryzen. I would recommend you consider the choice of the graphic card more than CPU.

Agreeing with @ToolfarmJP. Works fine with both. Trying to find the sweet spot between CPU and GPU is challenging. If you know all your effects run via the GPU then a more powerfull GPU will give your more bang. If you know your are using non-GPU effects, then the power of the CPU is more important.

Thank you! To be honest I didn't even know some effects were run by CPU or GPU. I was planning to stick to my old GTX 1660 Ti but I'm going to educate myself about this more!
