They sure are enough to run AE. The rest is not really relevant. Without knowing any specifics about the kinds of projects you do nobody can estimate how well this fares in the crunch or compares to your current Mac, info on which you also haven't offered.

Thanks Mylenium for responding so quickly! Below are my current details.

I'll be mostly using AE for green screen material and presenting with news style graphis and such like. Nothing too major.

But i'd also like to use templates from Evato and so on...

So do you think i will be good to go with this new windows machine?

Better get an i7 and take the one with the highest clock speeds. The "burst speed" may not be present all the time and not for all cores at once. There is no use in having 4.1GHz for some microseconds and one core only.

Further, i7 cpu has a base clock of 3.5 to 4.0Ghz (depending on model) and can boost to around 4.5Ghz.

Higher clock speeds are still a thing in AE, since many processes are linear executed. This is also the reason why 4 cores are just fine and 6 cores are not really necassary.

Since you are saving a lot of money leasving Apple universe, I recommend to double the RAM up to 32 GB. 16 is pretty low.
