Audio spectrum settings

Hello. I am creating an audio visualizer to react to a voice-over for a team project. I have the audio reacting to a voice-over with these rings. What I currently have is the audio reacting to the voiceover but the rings look like they are spiking (screenshot 1 below). My team member needs the rings to look like this (Screenshot 2-4 below). I have played around with my settings but I can't seem to get them the way my team member wants. (apologies for the blurry shots). Thank you. 

As I have 4 waves they all have the same settings and are linked to the audio track and reacting. Would the problem be the 'Maximum height'? being to high or too small or am I missing/havent touched a setting?
