best way to Morph two different shapes using path

Hi,
I'm trying to morph two shapes path in after effects.

shape are morphing but top verticies are twisting with bottom.

is there any way to keep the top vertices on top and bottom on bottom.

Without actually seeing the shape paths nobody can advise specifically. And from what it looks like, your approach may not be ideal to begin with. Don't try to do everything at once. It seems to me that you could easily just morph the shapes while horizontally, possibly already avoiding all alignment issues and then simply add the rotation by animating the shape group/ layer transform. It always helps to slice up such stuff in multiple, separately controllable steps.
