Black background

Hi I've been using Adobe After Effects to add effects to my PNG images, it exports well with a transparent background, but for some reason today whenever I export it, it has black background and I don't know how to fix it

What does the Info display say when you import the rendered PNG into After Effects and select it in the Project Panel. If it does not include and an alpha channel, try opening the Interpret Footage panel and changing the selection.

Double-check that the Channels pop-up menu in the Output Module Settings is set to "RGB + Alpha" when rendering.  If set to "RGB", you will not have any transparency in the resulting PNG files.
