Well, to be honest, there seem to be a million things wrong with your setup. the screen looks awfully crammed, which could mean you do not meet the minimu7m system requirement for screen resolution in the first place. Second, the file you are importing is apparently 6000 x 6000 pixels, which is a huge resolution. Third, your composition view is zoomed to 2.8 %. now take all these factors and it's easy to deduce that either something is not working correctly with your hardware acceleration or generally with display functions. So start by updating your system's graphics driver, check the hardware acceleration settings in AE in the prefs, the comp viewer, the preview panel and actually reset the view to 100%. For anything beyond that, you would have to provide more info like actual system info.

Sorry but I don't get that "So start by updating your system's graphics driver, check the hardware acceleration settings in AE in the prefs". I am doing character rigging and I was told by my teacher that my file needs to be 6000X6000..

Hi Elyse3,

Thanks for reaching out.

I agree with Mylenium. This issue could be related to the graphic card driver so updating it would be the first thing I'd suggest. If that doesn't help, please share your system specifications (CPU, GPU, RAM, OS version) and the exact version of After Effects you're using. Also, please check if it's happening in a new project as well.

Let us know, we're here to help.

Thanks,

Nishu
