Bug - When I install Font from CC I have to restart AE to make it appear

Participant ,

If I install a font from Adobe Fonts or CC. I cannot get them to work in AE unless i restart AE. I have had success now and then hitting `refresh list` on the `Effects & Presets` panel. Alas most times that doesn't work. I do not have this problem with other Adobe Cloud Products like Illustrator, etc.

It's really annoying. Especially when i am opening old projects/resources

Hey there are some troubleshooting steps you can do.

First, log out of the Creative Cloud desktop app and sign back in to refresh font synchronization. You can also try clearing the font cache by deleting the AdobeFnt.lst files, which forces AE to rebuild its font list. On Windows, installing the font for all users by right-clicking the file and selecting "Install for all users" can help AE recognize the font without requiring a restart.

Additionally, avoid using variable fonts, as some users have reported issues with them not appearing in AE. If your font isn't showing up, check the naming conventions and ensure the file name doesn’t contain spaces or special characters.
