comp/work area settings. Can't edit my video from the beginning

i was just editing until i realized it was short so i tried to to go bck to the beginning and wouldn't let me idk how to fix it. last time i fixed it but i don't remember how 

can someone please help me

Go to:

Composition > Composition Settings...

i did what you told me and it didn't help. so maybe i probably press something, and i tried going to an save but it just save automatically to right there 

 and i did what you said but it just makes the work area zero right there but all i want is to be able to go to back to the beginning
