Confused with graphics and Ram

Hello Friends,

First of all I am new to adobe family.

I want to start adove after effects because I want to sell 3D logo intro to my client.

I am going to purchase following laptop. So I have simple question , Is following configuration of laptop is good to generate high quality video with less rendering time.

May Be I need to create 30+ video per day with high quality resolution.

laptop configuration:

1)processor ---> Intel i5 7th generation

2)RAM ---> 8GB DDR4

3)Hard disk  ---> 1TB

4) Graphic card ---> 4GB graphics card NVEDIA 940MX

5)SCREEN ---> Full HD

So I have just one question Do I need to upgreade my RAM or processor.

Or it is good for fast rendering.

I just need after effect for simple 3D logo intro videos.

I don't have much high requirement.

Please help me.

Sorry, but your question makes absolutely no sense. "Simple 3D logo intro" - what does that even mean? One can render (seemingly) "simple" stuff for hours. Have you even tried creating something like that on your current system? what are the render times? Again, without even the slightest idea about what you are actualyl creating, this is not going anywhere.

Thanks for your message.

Actually I just need to create logo intro video or logo reveal video.

I tried this thing on my current system and it will take minimum 2-3 hours to render one video.

And one more point right now I am using 4gb ram, i3 6th generation and 1 tb harddisk.

So above configuration is good for fast rendering or not?

Assuming that you have enough RAM to render the frames in the first place, processor speed is going to have the large impact on your render times.  

If it fits your budget:

• i7 processor over i5 processor
• 16GB of RAM instead of 8GB (32GB if your laptop choice supports that)
• SSD hard drive
• 4GB GPU is a strong choice

Of course, I think you've just spent $2,500 to $3,000.

If you change nothing else in your list, go with 16GB of RAM.

I have just one question I don't have SSD drive. But I can attached external SSD drive. So is it ok for fast rendering or not?

Faster hard drives increase your read/write time.  So, you're helping AE to load your footage more quickly and write rendered frames to your output format more quickly.

You should also see some better performance if your set the Media & Disk Cache preference to an SSD drive.

The tricky thing with external drives and a laptop is always having the external drive connected.

This is the system that you already have, right?

I'd add more RAM first and consider swapping the internal hard drive for an SSD drive at some point (putting the current 1TB drive into an external enclosure).

Even if you left your system as is, it should do well enough for awhile.
