Dear Adobe-Team,
My AE is constantly stuck, even at simple tasks. When I purge and restart, everything works well until it's eventually stuck again. This process has been the case for one year now. With each update, I saw no improvement and I haven't found a solution to this even though I was searching online a lot.
The Problem:
Suddendly seems to not generate a preview anymore and AE takes strangely long to do simple tasks like renaming a comp. I currently have a comp open with 3 rectangles with a very simple animation, AE is struggling on 120% in activity monitor to show some image, but it won't show up.
My System:
New Mac Studio, M1 Max, 32 GB Memory, MacOS Ventura 13.4.1,
After Effects 24.0.1
What I have tried:
Purged memory and cache, constant restarting.
Bought an external SSD for Caches.
Updated everything.
Experimented with the settings.
but no improvement.
I know, Ventura is a mess, and I am currently astounded how bad this MacOs works in general, but with a new Mac, I can't revert to an older system and I am unsure about, if the new one will really be better.
After one year of struggling, investing money into this problem and losing my nerves over this, I'd be more than happy, if you could provide some help with this. Other threads in this community with a similar or possibly the same problem seemed to be unanswered or unsolved.
I am an experienced user and I work on AE since more than 15 years, but I seem to not be able to figure this out by myself. Any help appreciated, thanks, p

I had the same issue before, I created a custom keyboard shortcut for purge all memory and disk cache, whenever i feel after is about to stuck and after previewing I Use the shortcut . In my case, this makes my workflow much better
