Creating 3D curved line with several points, using the position of null 3D objets

Hello everyone,
I am stuck with one problem that prevent me from finishing my project :
how can I create 3D curved line with several points, using null 3D objets ?
I though AE could be used in 3D space like Rhino or sketshup... can it ?
My project is simple and representing a group of people having a meeting :
I want to create a wired cone. But the meshes of this cone are not random.
The cone is composed by several more or less round shape (arranged on the z axis) and 8 curves of the length of the cone.
The round shapes (which could be called cuts in the cone) are the perimeter of an animated 2D composition.
So, the 3D cone is the expression in time of 2D animation, as the round shapes are "prints" (one every second) of the 2D animation.
To render the tunnel effect, a camera will travel at the center of the cone
and the 2d will stick on top of the 3D :
I hope I haven't lost you all
I have already placed null objets at the 8 positions i will need on the round shapes.
The technique of "beams" is not satisfactory because I need to have curves.
They also require setting up a lot of different objects.
Same thing for this technique with expression:

Does someone know a trick ? like chosing 3d positions of the points of a curve line ??? or any other magic parametric tool rendering the whole 3D sh*t ?
Thank you sooooo much for your help,
Clem

You would need to buy the Plexus plug-in to create actual 3D curves. Everything else is not going to work. You are simply operating on wrong assumptions.
