current time indicator is not moving

when i am clicking the spacebar the video starts but the current time indicator is not moving.
I am useing after effect cc 2020.
I have dell inspirion 5567, windows 10

The expected behavior is that the Preview Time Indictor (PTI) moves during a Preview, not the Current Time Indicator (CTI).  The PTI is red.  The CTI is blue.
