Display Acceleration Disabled

New Here ,
Jan 05, 2020 Jan 05, 2020
Hey, I am having difficulty using Affect Effects. As I am working on a project in the Composition screen in the upper right corner there is an alert that reads "Display Acceleration Disabled" so when I hit the space bar on my keyboard to play my composition nothing moves. If I manually drag the current time indicator my project will move how I want it to. But only if I manually drag that bar. It will not play the movement in real time. I have tried researching different ways to fix the problem and I have been unsuccessful and even reached out to one of Skillshare teachers for advise and they were not able to assist me either.

Hi Brittney,

Thanks for reaching out. I see that you are having preview issue with After Effects.

Could you share your system specifications (CPU, GPU, RAM, OS)? Do you see an option to change the renderer in File > Project Settings?

Let us know, we're here to help.

Thanks,

Nishu

Here's how you can check the system information:

macOS - https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203001

Windows - https://www.simplehow.tips/a/44/how-to-view-system-information-on-windows10

Feel free to share the screenshot.

Thanks,

Nishu

Would you mention the name of the graphic card you have used? Have you already tried to update the driver?
