Displaying a camera and it's path in rendered export of another camera

Hey there resourceful people,

I have two cameras in my composition. One for the final view and one that is further away, looking down from the top right on the first camera.
This second camera is for displaying the arrangement of the composition.

Now I'd like to export this second cameraview while (that's the issue) showing the first camera (as a frameconstruct ) and - if possible - on it's pathway.

Soooo .... is there a way to do this? or do I have to build a framework that looks like the camera and let it follow the first camera? That would be very tricky and would not show the changing focus of camera one as it does if I could show the camera itself. ( or if so it would be even more complicated )

Maybe someone out there has an idea how to solve this?

Have a nice day!

If you cannot find a stock 3D Camera model (.obj), you will have to make one and then add it to the composition using C4D lite, Video CoPilot's Element 3D, or some other app. Using Blender (HTTP://blender.org) to create and render an overlay video of just the second camera wireframe model might be easier and less expensive. Blender and After Effects can work fairly well together. If you have access to AE Beta, you might be able to use that to Shift + Parent a 3D model of the camera wireframe model right into your project. That would snap it right into position.

So you say there is no easy way - like a button that says: "render wireframe"?
That would be nice though right?
I will however try the AE Beta thingy - Thank You! 🙂
