Duplicating frames to save time

New Here ,
Jan 28, 2021 Jan 28, 2021

Hi,

In my project I have 1200 frames, last 100 frames have same output which is a photograph. So is it possible to duplicate the 1100th frame 100 times in after effects so I save time while I render.

Please help

Thanks 🙂

Render the 1100th frame as image (Tiff or PNG).

Put your final Comp into a new comp and cut it at 1099. Insert the frame you just rendered at 1100 and enlarge the layer until it reaches 1200.

This should speed up the last 100 frames.

There is never a need to duplicate frames in a video. You can use Layer/Time/Freeze Frame any time you need to have a single frame of video repeated forever. There are a number of ways to use Time Remapping.

I am also not quite sure what you are trying to do. It sounds more like you have a composition with 1200 frames and a bunch of layers than you want to freeze the last frame of a layer that is 1200 frames long.
