Elongating a shot by reversing it at the end

I am trying to give a shot a few extra seconds more.

I am prepared to mask, roto, track and move things around as needed. However, I wonder if there is some sort of technique to help hide (By warping?) a cut where I take the end of the shot and reversing it from its end so that it goes on. This specific shot works when reversed, but that moment where the reverse begins it becomes really obvious that this is what I'm doing and I want it to be seamless.

Anyone know of some interesting techniques for this? Or is this one for some mega roto work?

Can we see the shot?

check Re: Flex plugin and check some of its tutorial. I used it quite extensively to create loops from a video and make it seamless and extend shots.
