I'm rendering an After Effects comp in 2024 Encoder and it's stuck at the very end. It says it has 00:00:05 left but it won't move from there. It's been like this for hours now. The .aac and .m4v files are in the folder but aren't being combined. Is this a known issue? How do I get it to stop?
As a side note, can we get rid of forcing us to use the encoder and go back to just rendering in AE? It's annoying and takes forever to load AE projects.

Impossible to say anything. You have not provided any info about your system, render settings, contents of the project and so on.

It's not impossible to say anything if it's a known bug or something.
Instead of being a dick, you could have simply asked for that information if it was important.
If anyone else that wants to help needs to know:
Windows 11 running an i7 2.3 GHz, 16 GB of Ram
I'm exporting an H264 file (obviously from my post) at 1920 x 1080, 30fps, Progressive, 48000 Hz Stereo and it's 04:43:17 long. Nothing special about it, just video, text, graphics, etc. It renders fine until it gets to the end to compile the mp4.

AE 2024 (and 2023) supports H.264 encoding from the Render Queue. Do you have the same issue if you export from AE instead of Media Encoder?

Didn't know you could render from inside AE now. I tried it and it worked, but still had the same problem with the media encoder.

Hi MixMastaJames,
Did you try the new version of After Effects and Media Encoder? Does it work better?
Let us know. I am moving this thread from Bugs to Discussions for now.
Thanks,
Nishu
