End in Trim Paths

In order to have this two keyframes End in Trim Paths is used. What does this End mean here?

It doesn't really mean that in this case. The difference is that if you increase the Start, the End will do the same exact thing the Start did, except do it in reverse, so it will trim it over again.

Start & End are sort of like duplicates in this case. They do the same thing. By adjusting one, "trims the path" of the shape path.

 

There are two different digits because if you want to animate both of them at the same time then offset Start or End by a couple frames, forming a nice line that flows across the screen like a spline (if used only the stroke on the shape layer).

As far as I know End means Last Point. What is that last point here?
