exporting from after effects slow or fast

im wondering about exporting from after effects

i have a project which will be displayed on a stage on various screens

the display will come from one video output, which for arguments sake we will call the "main comp"

as a reference i created a comp in my project where i duplicated the main comp into various instances , converted them to 3d objects and placed them around in a virtual stage, to give myself an idea how it will look when its on stage

my question is,

when i am exporting my main comp does this kind of thing slow down my computer?  i though not, since the 3d comp is above my main comp in hierarchy and therefore its not in the main comp as such.

AFAIK anything "outside" the comp has no bearing. Nested comps inside will affect the render, but nothing outside.
