exporting into Final Cut Pro or premier

Hello

I am a videographer and I am working on a movie trailer that I started in After effects however all the video work that I do is in final cut pro and or adobe premier pro.    The effects for the trailer are created in after effects.  Is there a way to export the project AS IS into premier or final cut pro so I can continue editing the project in that program?  thanks

After Effects is for creating effects, animations and graphics you cannot create in an NLE. If the comp is simple you can use Dynamic Link to drop any comp in a Premiere Pro timeline, but you will have to render to a visually lossless production format like ProRez to use the footage you create in AE in Final Cut Pro.

I never use Dynamic Link in Premiere Pro on a comp that takes a long time to render. By a long time I mean longer than a few frames a second because Dynamic Link will open up a background copy of After Effects to do the rendering and that render always takes longer. Sometimes it takes a lot longer. A lot of my visual effects comps take sevral seconds a frame to render, some over a minute a frame, and those comps would bring Premiere Pro to it's knees, it would take as long to render a preview in Premiere Pro as it would to render a proxy file in After Effects, and the final render could be in jeapordy if the background copy of After Effects chokes on the comp.

I hope this helps. Remember, AE is NOT a video editing app and it is not intended to be. The only reason you should ever have more than one shot in a comp is that you need to do a transition between shots that you cannot do in your NLE.

OH I know after effects isnt a video editing app.  I am a motion graphics and animator and use it for that strickly to create intros ect BUT this is the first time that a whole trailer is being created in after effects using different fancy effects to get the job done HOWEVER it requires videos ect and in place of the videos is what I call placeholders.  All I wanted was to be able to export the timeline with files as is into Premier Pro and do the video addition there as well as sound editing.  Again I know that AE isnt a video editing software.  I did go to school and get a degree in digital design and one in Visual Effects but with the times changing, alot of things change and IDK what is up with all this new fangled things, updates ect so I thought maybe they added a way like in AP where you an export a project as a XML file and then IMPORT that file directly into Final Cut to edit it as is like it was in AP.
