Exporting text from AE to C4D Lite issue

So I'm trying to export a 3d text layer from Adobe to C4D, however, the text just dissapears/doesn't show up in C4D. I tried exporting along with other things like rectangles with a 3d layer and it's only the text that doesn't show.

Opening the c4d file the rectangles show up and I can edit them like normal but the text layer that shows up is empty. I have tried to do this now on 2 different computers running windows and I have the same issue on both.1.png2.png

I found a solution for myself, this seems to be a bug for later versions of AE much like any other bugs

I went back to a long-term support version and it fixed the issue.

Should've tried this way earlier I am embarrassed

I'd start by checking the Maxon pages for potential updates. Maybe it's a known thing. Other than that I can't offer any real explanation. This is definitely odd.

The Maxon app manager is telling me C4D is up to date so I have no idea what the issue could be. I searched for a solution for over 3 hours yesterday and I seem to be the only one with this problem.

Have you tried this with another font? Maybe it's toatlly unrealted to C4D itself but rather one of those annoying issues where CC fonts get in the way of locally installed fonts or fonts go completely AWOL because CC pushes its own versions to the front.

Would you happen to know how to prevent that?

If the issue is to blame on the fonts. you would have to totalyl disable the CC fonts and clean out the respective Adobe and system font caches. Feel free to try.
