Extensions not opening

In After Effects when I click on the extension to try to open it, the extension does nothing does anyone know how to fix this. And i'm on version 18.2.1 if anyone asks.

I use Flow extensively in all versions of After Effects. I LOVE it.

As Kyle mentions below, make sure you're using the installer from aescripts + aeplugins. It's the best way to make sure it's installed correctly.

Is this your first time trying to open this extension, or was it previously working correctly?

Almost every time I've seen someone having extension issues, they're using the wrong zxp installer. Make sure to use the one from AEScripts, as recommended.

If you're on a Mac, this worked for me.

Close After Effects,

• Open the Terminal and enter 

defaults write com.adobe.CSXS.11 PlayerDebugMode 1

• Go to System Preferences > Security > Full Disk Access > Enable After Effect (Or add if not there)

While this suggestion might open the extension, it suggests that the extension wasn't packaged correctly as a ZXP file. Consequently, the developer needs to address this issue so that the extension functions properly without requiring activation of developer mode.

Open regedit > HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Adobe/CSXS. 11, then add a new entry PlayerDebugMode of type “ string ” with the value of “ 1 ”

As mentioned earlier, this works but it indicates some missing steps that the developers should have done. I think it is signing the package. The solution for that should come from the developers, this method should be nothing else but a temporary workaround.
