F9 Keyboard shortcut to easy ease keyframes not working (PC)

Windows 10, AE 17.5. I recently reset my After Effects preferences to deal with some other issues. Ever since, pressing f9 to easy ease keyframes has not been easy easing the keyframes but insead adjusting my computers brightness (as f9 would do outside of AE). However, under the keyboard shortcuts menu inside AE as well as in the default shortcuts file found under C:\Users\...\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\After Effects\17.5\aeks, f9 is listed as easy easing keyframes. Any ideas on how to fix would be appreciated.

I am having the same problem. This occured yesterday. Whenever I press F9, it simply saves my project, but does not activate easy ease.... Please adress this Adobe.
