Hello.  I finally got a CC subscription, but I'm not getting anywhere with launching After Effects.  Anyone familiar with this error message?

If I click OK, it then goes on to give me

I tried calling Adobe's support line, but so far that's gotten me nowhere.

I don't have a Mac to test it but I believe you may need to check the permissions on AE and on the folder in question.

Okay, I finally managed to get through to someone who could help me.  I wish I could recall detailed enough instructions to really answer this question for the next person, but the solution involved going through Go to Folder and then getting into a few different Adobe folders and then switching permissions to readwrite from read only.  There was also an After Effects folder that I changed the name to read After Effects.old.  I thought that was just to mark it at the time, but it may have prompted the creation of a new folder or something like that, because we never came back to that.  Hopefully, that helps point someone in a right direction at least.  I'm sorry that I can't recall the precise steps to save the next person all that rage inducing hold music.
