I recently started animating using AE again and I'm having issues with graph editor. Not sure what I did but on the graph editor a green line showed up that's never been there in my previous time using After Effects. Not sure if it's changing anything but it's really throwing me off, anyone know how to get rid of it?

That is just some property showing its static graph because you enabled the respective switch on the property most likely. Since you cut of the left pane, we can't really know much more than that.

Switch to from Value graph to Speed graph at the bottom next to the eye icon,  click the small little menu icon and change it to speed graph
