Hello,

I have a issue about glow. When I use glow in projects its seems really good. But there is really big difference between my project and export. In the project everything is fine. But the render is seems really bad..

(project is 32bpc, i tried every render options, also tried using cuda/mercury, and also tried all glow options(threshold, radius, intensity))

I would check the color values with the Lumetri scopes or by using the selection tool and the Info Panel. If you are driving the colors above 1, 1, 1 (32-bit display in info panel) then they are going to get crushed when you render an 8-bit file.

If the project is 32-bit and the render is 8-bit you are going to have color range problems. If you have compensated for over white values one way around the  is to render a 16 bit DI (digital intermediate) using a 16-bit production format then try compressing that DI to your 8-bit deliverable file (h.264 MP4).

Another option is to add a little noise to the file so when you go directly to an 8-bit file with a lot of color compression the noise will tend to hide the color artifacts. You will still have to compensate for over whites.

  1. Inspect Roof Material Compatibility: Ensure that the material used for the roof is suitable for the type of glow render being applied.
  2. Check Surface Preparation: Properly clean and prepare the roof surface before applying the glow render to ensure adhesion and uniformity.
  3. Evaluate Weather Conditions: Avoid applying glow render during extreme weather conditions such as high humidity or low temperatures, which can affect the curing process.
  4. Assess Application Technique: Verify that the glow render is being applied evenly and with the correct thickness to prevent inconsistencies.
  5. Examine Mixing Ratio: Follow manufacturer guidelines for mixing ratios to achieve the desired glow effect without compromising quality.
  6. Consider Primer Usage: Use a suitable primer if recommended by the manufacturer to enhance adhesion and durability of the glow render on the roof surface.
  7. Inspect Drying Time: Allow sufficient drying time between coats to prevent problems such as blistering or peeling.
  8. Address Substrate Issues: Address any underlying issues with the roof substrate, such as cracks or uneven surfaces, before applying the glow render.
  9. Test Compatibility with Roof Coatings: Ensure compatibility between the glow render and any existing roof coatings to prevent chemical reactions or adhesion issues.
  10. Monitor Environmental Factors: Be mindful of environmental factors such as sunlight exposure and air pollution, which can affect the performance of the glow render on the roof.
  11. Consider Thermal Expansion: Account for thermal expansion and contraction of the roof materials when applying the glow render to prevent cracking or delamination.
  12. Verify Product Quality: Use high-quality glow render products from reputable manufacturers to minimize the risk of performance issues.
  13. Consult Manufacturer Guidelines: Refer to the manufacturer's instructions and technical data sheets for specific guidance on application and troubleshooting.
  14. Seek Professional Assistance: If experiencing persistent glow render problems on the roof, consult with experienced roofing professionals or manufacturers for expert advice and assistance.
  15. Regular Maintenance: Implement a routine maintenance schedule to inspect the glow render on the roof and address any issues promptly to prolong its lifespan and effectiveness.
