Green frames in preview and render + random previous frames in video

Hi,

I experience glitches in the form of green frames or earlier frames (that were from an earlier point of the video and randomly appear in the form of a glitch on other times in the video). And I can't seem to get this fixed except for manually removing them with timefreezes but then the error just keeps generating new ones. It's really frustrating.

I experience this both on my AE and PremPro but both are entirely up to date. I checked the video in quicktime and the video didn't have these glitches. They were really generated within these programs.

I don't know what to do to get rid of this problem. I already deleted my media and disk cache a couple of times but that didn't seem to help. Any advice on this matter?

I understood that you have a background video, which glitches and you have added the green solid and the text within AE.

If there is a video that glitches, what's the codec, what are the tech-specs?

Green frames are codec issues in most cases.

Do the green frames always occure on the same timecode, or are they random?

And do they occure then you open the video in source view?

Do they occure in Premiere?

I aks this to check if the source file itself might by damaged.

Both the 'previous frame' glitch as the 'green frame' glitch appear on a certain timecode if you scroll over them as if they're part of the video but they're randomly generated throughout the video

Sorry, I had to edit my answer, because the new forum is still confusing at some points. You might miss that: And do they occure then you open the video in source view? Do they occure in Premiere? I aks this to check if the source file itself might by damaged.

In the source video the video doesn't show any of the glitches. In premiere I work with a dynamic link so only in the dynamic link it shows the same glitches as in after effects unless I manually fix them in AE. If I import the video in a seperate sequence in premiere it doesn't show any of the glitches at all.

To eleminate the video as source of issues, I suggest to transcode it into image sequence.

Alright I converted it to a png sequence and replaced the video with the png sequence. So far I don't see any glitches anymore, thanks 🙂 should I reoccur tho, then I'll come back to this post to reply.

Hi, I would like to say that your solution worked. It was the video after all. Thank you very much.
