Hey!
I have googled for about an hour without any results now and can't find any solutions. I can't for the love of me get the grid to be even on all sides.
As you can see at the bottom there's about 1/4 of a square left. I want it to be completely even on all sides so that the middle really is the middle of the document!
Sure I can use the proportional grid, but I can't snap anything to it.
I don't care how stupid I look at this point. I just really need some help!
Thank you!

You just have to use math and accept the limitations of the frame size. If your comp frame is 16:9 then there is no whole number that will divide into both sides evenly and give you squares excerpt 1. To get a square in the middle horizontally just divide the width, 1920 by an odd number that gives you a whole number like 5. That's 364 pixels. Set that for your grid spacing and you'll get 5 across but it won't work out vertically. The same thing happens if you use the vertical. You just can't co

The grid always starts in the top left corner. It isn't centered. If you want that, you have to create your own grid using guides or whatever.

You just can't come up with a number that works out for both horizontal and vertical when your comp is 16 X 9 and you need whole numbers you are out of luck. The easiest thing to do would be to create a comp that is a little taller that works and then just draw a couple of guides for the 1080 dimension and then just nest your final comp in one that is the right size.
