Thanks for reaching out.

A corrupt font could cause this issue. Have you installed any new fonts or activated from Adobe Fonts? If so, try uninstalling/deactivating them and see if it helps.

Maybe you installed another app. Applications usually install or reinstall fonts at their convenience so if you installed any after closing After Effects there may be the issue as Nishu says.
