I would like to animate some illustrations I will do on Illustrator and adding a hand drawing them and I'm struggling to find a good tutorial on Whiteboard animation. I found tons of bad tutorials on youtube and good ones here and there but these good ones always show how to animate drawings without showing how to animate the hand too. Same for the paid tutorials. I found several perfect tutorials but always limited to the drawings and I am struggling to find a tutorial to learn how to do whiteboard animation AND adding the hand animation too.
I read tons of youtube comments where other advices how to do it but no one works, also I tried to figure it out by myself with no success.
Free or paid it is the same, I need to find a really good tutorial to learn how to do this, since I need it for a client. If paid I would prefer one on Lynda.com

If you have a vector path, which you should have from you AI files, and you are converting the path to shapes and using trim paths to make the lines draw on, you can just copy the vector path and paste it to the position property of the hand layer and it will follow. You just have to make sure that the layer with the vector path is at the default comp center position, is not rotated or scaled.
There are ways to compensate for any non-standard position, scale, and rotation values, but they are too complicated to go over in a single post.
Show us a screenshot with the modified properties of one of your drawing layers that is being revealed and I can get more specific.
BTW, Lynda.com is now Linked In Learning and you can browse their entire catalog without being a member.
Here's a basic tutorial I did a while ago that shows how to copy a vector path to a motion path.
