I'm still new to After Effects, so I apologize if I'm using the wrong terminology
So i animated a sequence using the paint tool in After Effects, and I would like the animation to be looped (as in playing over and over again). However, I have over 500 paint layers and am finding it difficult to copy the sequence. I have tried to select each one by holding down the shift key but that does not work. Is there a way to condense all the brushes, so that I can easily copy it? Am I making any sense at all? Picture for reference ↓
The video is about 16 seconds, while the animation is only 3. Perhaps I followed your instructions incorrectly? It ended up looping the entire 16 second composition instead of the 3 second overlay animation on top of the video.
1. Sounds like it worked perfectly.
2. Might have been helpful to have stated the above in your original question.
Follow the procedure again - but don't include your video layer in your precomposition or looping procedure. Then, when you have set up your pain

Precompose the layer.
Then Google: "How to loop a comp in After Effects".

Didn't work. I animated it by painting frame by frame, and would only like to loop the painted sequence while the video plays normally.
