How do I make only white light visble in footage?

I want only the whitest brightest part of footage to be visible. I've been beeing about with blend mode but, I was wondering if there is an easier way to achieve this?

Here's one, of many, options:

Apply the extract effect to your footage layer. Set the 'black point' value to a high number, fine tune with black softness.
