How do we manage disk cache usage when we are rendering a project with aerender.exe

Hi,
the problem we got from rendering with aerender (on a render farm using aws thinkbox deadline) is that it doesn't take into considerations the amount of GB cache limit we set in our user app preferences and it fills up the hard drive until it crashes the computer. Is it a bug and is there a way to fix this?
