How to add gradients in After Effects (Each angle is different)

It has the ability to apply gradients and rotate angles

But I don't know the ability to add gradients in After Effects

How do I rotate the gradient angle for each letter in After Effects?

This isn't possible in AE with the Text Tool (And Text Animators) or Layer Styles. The only way is to do it with each character on its own layer.

Convert the Text to Shapes, Delete all stroke and fill, select all shapes, add Gradient Fill, Edit the start and endpoint of each Gradient Fill for each letter.
