Hi, how can I achive this animation in a simple way without creative hundreads of layers and motion paths.

The dots should start random and then group themselfs in a nonlinear way to form the letters.

3 answers:

1 - If you want it to look quite specifically like your example, using individual layers for each dot may be the best way.

2 - Create the text using paths with a Stroke effect applied, and reduce spacing so the paths are stroked with dots.  Then animate the path shape so that it distorts and expands.

3 - Use a particle plugin like Trapcode Particular.  Particular allows you to use text as a particle emitter, allowing you to "explode" a text layer into many particles.  You won't get it to look so clean and specific as your eample, however.
