Hi everyone,
I am an AE student. I am trying to animate an arrow or line to go through 4 holes when they line up. (See static example).
My question is that the arrow must behind each cheese plate before going through the hole, and on front of the layer after going through the hole.
Thanks a lot!

If you want to do that with 2D layers you need to use multiple copies of the same layer and stack them up in the right order and you will need to do some masking. These screenshots should tell the story:
If you use 3D layers you can get things to interact the way you want them to, but you are faced with the challenge of a 3D layer that is only 1 pixel thick, perspective, and manipulating a camera. On the most basic level, this is how that looks.

- Put the Layer of the arrow on the Layers of the cheeses.
- Make the animation of the arrow
- Make a Pre-Composition of the animated layer of the arrow and to this you must apply one or more masks with the Pen tool, so that the mask Subtract the part that should be left behind, what should not be seen.
