Hi,

I copied my AEX (effect plugin) file into the following folder:

Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0\Plug-ins\en_US

and then started Premiere. But my plugin was nowhere to be found. Are there some installation steps required?

Thanks,
Neil

What outflags do you set? PPro won't load some plug-ins that request functionality it doesn't support.

I tried disabling various outflags but the plugin still didn't load in Premiere. I tried using just:

PF_OutFlag_PIX_INDEPENDENT

As well as just:

PF_OutFlag_CUSTOM_UI

But no luck. Are there any other reasons why Premiere won't load it?

Thanks,
Neil

Not sure (I'll ask my counterpart on the Premiere Pro team). Deep color?

Hi Bruce,

Did your Premiere Pro counterpart have any ideas? I tried disabling the deep color flags but Premiere still didn't load it.

Thanks,
Neil

I was searching for how to install Adobe Premier Pro 2.0 on Google, and got here. I have a disk, but whenever I insert it and click install, it always freezes, and it can't install. I have a Windows XP from Dell that is only 1 1/2 years old. I would appreciate any help.

Thanks,
Michael

Sorry for the delay, Neil. Send the plug-in (rename the .zip to .not_a_zip, or something similarly innocuous) to Zac Lam zlam@adobe.com.

Did you guys find a solution to this issue? I'm currently facing a similar problem.

For example, I compiled the SDK_Noise and Resizer example projects from the AE SDK, and neither of them show up in Premiere Pro 2 or 3 (even though I see the .aex files being loaded by PP during startup)

Yes I have Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 and I have the same problem; I can only use the DigiFX (Night for Day, Fog factory etc)

but Premiere also acknowledges the Boris FX files when loading but they aren't displayed in the FX panel..

any info please email me: ben@schultzies.com
