i need still the grain effect

i have some issue can anybody help, (sorry for my bad english languange), so here is the problem, i create a vector brain from illustrator that have a grain effect with gradient. As soon i want to animate that vector, i will need to "convert to shape" option in after effect, but after i converted to shape it has annoying box of grey, so i delete that grey box, then the grain effect is gone. the grain effect i use from Ai library "effect Gallery" (Noise) Thank you.

You have to rebuild it using AE's native Grain effects. It works as it is supposed to. You may want to read up in the online help which features are actualyl supported for vector-based conversion.
