I have a good grasp of the tutorials. What I need to do is to have a freeze frame on the last 2 seconds of my 1 minute piece. I have tried using Time-stretching and time-remapping tutorials but none if what they suggest seems to help, or worse, not work. I have tried every single one of the options that are listed in the time category. All I've been able to get is my puppet unable to move her mouth. I just need to stretch the last two seconds. I have been all week on this thing. Is there someone who know what to do?

Hi, it's a bit difficult to understand what is happening. Is your composition long enough for the additional 2 seconds? Is it video or are you creating something from scratch? An image of your screen would help.

The 'Freeze on Last Frame' item in the Time options should work. If it's several layers then you have precomp them first, obviously. Or of course you could also just export the frame as an image. then tack it on to the end. Don't over think it.

I have taken two pictures of the at different perspectives of the timeline. All I am trying to do is lengthen the 3rd item (Scene) to match the sound track (#9). Every time I follow the directions given in the tutorials my puppet's mouth stops moving.

So you're not looking to freeze the frame for two seconds, you're looking to time stretch the animation.
I'm not sure why the puppets mouth stops moving but even without that information,
one solution would be to render the animation to a video format and then apply the time stretch.
Obviously though this is not a way to make your lip synch animation match the audio.
Because it's only two seconds though the offset might not be noticeable so it could work.
Otherwise you just have to re time the animation to match the audio.

Add the Timewarp effect and use this to retime your footage instead of time remapping. As it’s an effect it’s easier to control than time remapping on a nested comp
