images do not appear

I'm inserting images into after effects and they don't appear, does anyone know how to solve this?

Hi there,

Sorry for the issue. It seems that faulty expressions have been added to your layer. Could you try toggling them off (Ctrl + Alt + 😃 and let us know if that helps? You can also go to Animation > Remove Expression. Let us know how it goes.

Has this image ever been visible in AE? 

Are you sure it isn't something simple like the image being black?
