initializing GPU every time - Why!!!?

Why does nobody give an answer to why this is happening, it must be wide spread. 

I am using a 3090 and 2080ti drivers updated, after effects is the latest. why does it say initializing GPU every damn time i open up AE, and it takes minutes to finish. this needs to be fixed. it never used to do this, it's only through updates that this has happened.

Which driver are you using - Studio or the Game Ready driver? See if switching to Studio driver helps if you're not using it already. If that doesn't help, try resetting the preferences of After Effects.
