Hi Folks,
How do we keep the music playing?
The soundtrack only plays in the main preview, not in the subs. I need to line up visual elements to audio cues, and it's pretty difficult without the music.
AE 17.0.0 (Build SS7)
Many thanks 🙂

You can enable audio in the RAM Preview options panel, but After Effects is simply not designed to work like an NLE, where you can scrub about and hear everything. If you need to sync in AE, then either expand the audio track to expose the waveform and work by eye, or take the audio into a DAW application and add markers which AE will then display on the layer.

Simply copy and paste your audio track into the pre-comps if you need to hear the audio within them. You may need to use markers as a way to keep them in sync if the start point or durations of your precomps don't align with your main comp. Be sure to turn audio off on the precomp layers in your main comp, or you will get multiple audio tracks combined in your final render.
