Laggy Menu in After Effects

I recently upgraded to the latest After Effects and for some reason when trying to use the menu it lags out to the point where it becomes unbearable, but the keyboard shortcuts are not a problem. Working anywhere else in the app is okay to include the timeline, etc. It’s just the menu at the top.

I was only a couple of versions behind before upgrading and that version was working fine.

Without any system information we can't realyl tell you much. Start with the usual steps: Update your graphics driver and configure it suitably, check the hardware acceleration stuff in AE.

Is the graphic card driver updated to the most recent version ?

Thank you, the graphics card was good but the bios wasn't. Updated that and seems to be okay for now.

It's better but hasn't completely gone away.
