I want the Layer name to appear on the Timeline Bar to see the Layer name quickly as I'm working on more than 100 layers in a composition.
Is there a script to do that?
idk it's called Timeline Bar. (coloured bars on the Right side)
Here you go:

You would have to add markers and use the marker comment function for this. I'm not aware that there would be a pre-existing script, but it should not be too difficult to create by modifying some existing script that uses similar functionality.

Apparently it's too much of a chore for you to simply highlight a desired layer and then look at the left side of the comp.

Oh Dave. Why don't we all just go do cave paintings?
The After effects timeline and app, in general, has a terrible outdated UI. But Adobe are lazy as hell.

Why do people go on forums just to negate people's questions I will never know. Surely if you don' t have a solution just be quiet Dave.
