Layer selection display

Does or will After Effects display or return the number of layers I haves selected anywhere?  So I don't have to count them.

It's easy if you stick to only selecting one layer at most.

It's in the Info Panel —the number of layers will be listed and the count will change as you select/deselect more layers until there is no more count when you've stopped selecting any layer.
